After scoring one goal in their first two playoff games, the Rangers have scored four goals in back-to-back games, this time beating the the Washington Capitals 4-3 on Wednesday night.

The win evens the first round playoff series at two games apiece.

Carl Hagelin had a goal and two assists, including a beautiful give and go to Derek Stepan to give the Rangers a 4-2 lead with 13:58 to go in the game.

Now all the momentum the Capitals built during the first two games is gone as the two teams head back to Washington with the series tied.

“Coming back home our backs were against the wall,” Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist said about leaving Washington down 2-0 in the series.” We had to win. You can’t go back to Washington being down three-one. So the last two games have been huge.”

Game 5 is Friday in Washington. The puck is expected to drop at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
