Sheriff Drops Sponsorship of Scout Troop Over Gay Policy
Published at(COEUR D’ALENE) – A northern Idaho sheriff’s office has dropped its sponsorship of a Boy Scout troop over the BSA’s recent policy change allowing openly gay Scouts. Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger says it was inappropriate, given his position to enforce the law, to continue sponsorship. Wolfinger claims the policy “promotes a lifestyle” that is out of harmony with the state’s anti-sodomy laws.
