Wambach passed Hamm’s 158 record on her third goal of the game on Thursday night against South Korea 29 minutes into the game.

Wambach would go onto score one more and Morgan got the assist on the final one to set the record at 160.

“It was amazing to be a part of that historic moment,” Morgan told ABC Sports Radio on Friday.  “Abby’s a great leader for our team, for me to be a part of that was really special.”

Hamm scored 158 goals before retiring in 2004.

“I’m just really happy for her, (Wambach)” Morgan continued.  “Whenever we’re on the field she’s always wanting to get me the goal and I’m always looking to set her up.”

Morgan also said that the World Cup and retaining No. 1 is the goal on everyone’s mind.
