Fireworks Banned in Rural Bannock County

(POCATELLO, ID) – In the wake of last year’s busy fire season that destroyed more than 70 homes, Bannock County Commissioners have voted to ban fireworks in unincorporated areas of the county. In spite of recent wet weather, officials caution that the county is still at risk for a major wildfire. The measure also bans open-flame fires in wildland interface areas in the county.
