Michael Jackson’s Oldest Son Set to Testify at Wrongful Death Trial

Kevin Winter/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Michael Jackson’s oldest child is expected to testify Wednesday in the trial related to the wrongful death lawsuit brought by the singer’s mother against concert promoter AEG Live.
Jackson family lawyer Brian Panish said on Tuesday that 16-year-old Prince Michael I will take the stand in a Los Angeles court. He said that Prince will “bring back to the jury that there really are people involved in this case, it’s not a large corporation. And three children and a mother have lost somebody that’s very near and dear to them.”
Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, is suing AEG for $40 billion, claiming it contributed to her son’s death by hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for giving the King of Pop an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol.
In an unrelated note, a Los Angeles judge ruled on Tuesday that no changes will be made to the guardianship of Michael’s three kids following an inquiry he ordered in the wake of 15-year-old Paris Jackson’s alleged suicide attempt. The children’s guardians are Katherine Jackson and cousin TJ Jackson.
Prince and Paris have an 11-year-old brother, Prince Michael Jackson II, a.k.a. Blanket.
