American Black Bear

(YELLOWSTONE, NP) – Yellowstone National Park rangers were forced to kill a black bear in a campground over the weekend. Authorities say the 142-pound male entered the Canyon Campground at around 3:30 Saturday afternoon.  The bear reportedly rummaged through dumpsters, food storage containers, and tents. Rangers tried hazing the bear out of the camp but it came back a short time later. They say the bear posed an immediate danger to the lives of park visitors in the area
