Blackfoot Hazing Prosecution Lawsuit Set for Next Year

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A lawsuit against the Blackfoot School District over the handling of hazing allegations against three former high school athletes will begin next year. The case brought by Logan Chidester, Nathan Walker, and Tyson Katseanes alleges that the district and the city of Blackfoot maliciously prosecuted them when hazing allegations surfaced during the 2009-2010 boys’ basketball season. All three were originally charged with felonies, and a media circus quickly ensued. The charges against the athletes were later dismissed. A jury trial has been set for March 18.
