Bryce Harper Returns to Action for Nationals
Published at(WASHINGTON) — After missing 31 games due to bursitis, outfielder Bryce Harper returned to the Washington Nationals’ lineup Monday night.
Harper, who partook in a four-game rehab assignment last week with Single-A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, started off his night with a bang, hitting a home run in his first at-bat. He finished the night 1-for-4 with a walk, helping the Nationals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 10-5.
The Nationals improve to 26-19 when Harper plays this season, compared to 16-21 when he’s out of the lineup.
Washington is currently six games behind Atlanta for first in the National League East.
