Car Accidents Increasing in Idaho

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The number of car accidents in Idaho went up in 2012. According to a report from the Idaho Transportation Department, car accidents increased by 2.7 percent compared to the previous year, amounting to more than 21,000 reported accidents statewide. Fatalities also went up by 10.2 percent to 184. Authorities say 54 percent of all crashes were caused by aggressive drivers. Another 23 percent were caused by distracted drivers.
