In the video, the man dons an all-black getup, including material draped over his head, that has earned him the nickname ”Elephant Man.”

“We’re hoping someone will recognize this guy with the release of the video,” Sgt. Cindy West at the  King County Sheriff’s Office told ABC News.  “He doesn’t put on the hood until he’s in the building, so we are trying to get those distanced photos of him as well.”

The “Elephant Man” is linked to three July bank robberies in the Seattle area, including two Whidbey Island Banks and a Banner Bank.  In each robbery, the man implied he had a weapon then drove off with the money.

The man is described as white, in his late 40s or early 50s.  He is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, has graying hair and scar texture on his face.

“He’s been hitting banks on the north end of Seattle, so it’s very likely that this guy is a local,” said West. “Its still early on, but i’m confident we will have this guy in custody soon.”

There are no suspects as of yet, but the Sheriff’s Office said the man should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information should contact the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
