Fire Destroys Pocatello Home

(POCATELLO, ID) – A fire destroyed at least one home in Pocatello Thursday afternoon. The fire started on the 1900 block of South 2nd Avenue near the Union Pacific rail yard at around 5 p.m. Crews evacuated several buildings nearby, including an apartment complex. Witnesses also reported seeing several explosions. As of Thursday night, authorities did not say if anyone had been injured, though an elderly man had to be forcibly removed from his home by police. An investigation is ongoing.
