Fire Victim in Critical Condition

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man remains in critical condition following an apartment fire Sunday morning.  The man’s name has not been released. Investigators say the fire destroyed four units in the Sand Creek apartment complex on Ashment. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom prior to hearing alarms and smelling smoke. At least eight people have been displaced by the fire, which took nearly an hour and a half to contain. Authorities believe it could take several weeks to investigate the case. Damages are estimated at around $750,000.
