HBO to Air “Sopranos” On Demand Following James Gandolfini’s Death

GETTY 62013 JGSopranos?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1372754500929Michael Loccisano/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — Following the sudden death of Sopranos star James Gandolfini, HBO announced on Monday that it will air the series that made the actor a household name on demand.

Each season of The Sopranos will air on demand for one month, consecutively.  Season one will be available throughout July, followed by season two in August.  Subsequent seasons would air the following months.

The Sopranos went off the air in 2007 after six seasons.

HBO also announced the Gandolfini-produced, Emmy-nominated documentary Alive Day Memories: Home from Iraq will air on the cable network Thursday, July 4, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

Gandolfini died on June 19 of a heart attack while on vacation in Rome.  He was 51.
