(NEW YORK) — Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, is holding a fundraiser on July 24 for Newark Mayor Corey Booker, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for senator from New Jersey, a seat left vacant by the death of longtime Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
Ivanka will host the event along with her husband, Jared Kushner, at the couple’s Park Avenue home in Manhattan. The suggested contribution is $5,200 per guest.
Booker is considered the favorite in the primary that will be held on Aug. 13. The general election is scheduled for October.
There’s no word about what Donald, a staunch Republican, has to say about his daughter’s political pick.
Ivanka did support Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election, however.
