(POCATELLO, ID) – Idaho State University officials have deemed the iconic “I” on Red Hill has “structurally unsafe.”   Years of erosion have left the “I” looking like it’s about to fall off the hill. According to safety experts, the only thing holding the large slab of cement in place is gravity. An engineering firm from Boise has been called in to evaluate what options the university has, though it’s possible that the logo will have to be removed completely. Several administrators have suggested replacing the “I” with an updated logo, though talks have been put on hold until officials reconvene for the fall semester.
