“The Wolverine,” “The To Do List” Open Nationwide
Published at(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide on Friday:
— The Wolverine: Hugh Jackman again reprises the role of the clawed X-Men character. This time, he’s in modern-day Japan, where he goes to battle and faces the possibility of death. Svetlana Khodchenkova also stars in the film, which is screening in 3D. Rated PG-13. [Click here to read a review]
— The To Do List: Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza plays a high school valedictorian in 1993 who creates a “to-do” list of all the things she wants to accomplish before college, like lose her virginity. Bill Hader, Rachel Bilson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Andy Samberg and Connie Britton also star in the raunchy comedy. Rated R.
And expanding into wide release:
— The Way, Way Back: The dramedy follows a 14-year-old boy who befriends a water park manager during his summer vacation. Liam James, Toni Collette, Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney and Maya Rudolph star. Rated PG-13.
