Toddler Drowns in Salem Canal

(REXBURG, ID) – A two-year-old boy drowned in Madison County Saturday night. Investigators say the toddler went missing at around 7 p.m. in Salem. Neighbors found the boy in the canal after about 30 minutes of searching. Efforts to revive the boy were unsuccessful. The victim, whose name has not been released, was from Fremont County and was visiting relatives in Salem at the time.
