Transportation Dept. Considering More Bike Lanes in Eastern Idaho

(POCATELLO, ID) – If you take a walk around Pocatello this time of year and you’re almost guaranteed to see cyclists riding in groups. Officials with the Idaho Transportation Department say cities in southeast Idaho are ready for more bike lanes on city streets to keep people safer. One expert says that an estimated 1,500 cyclists are hitting the streets in Pocatello every week. Authorities are looking into ways to redesign roadways, crosswalks, and adding more signs to make the transition easier.
