Just days after being bought out of his contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Lecavalier agreed to a five-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers worth $22.5 million.

According to ESPN, the deal is worth $4.5 million per year and has a no-movement clause.  The 33-year-old Lecavalier had his previous contract bought out by the Lightning, who owe him $32.67 million.

Approximately 15 teams showed an interest in Lecavalier, with the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens being considered right until the very end of the process.

Lecavalier was the No. 1 pick in the 1998 NHL draft by the Lightning.  He is a four-time All-Star and led the Lightning to a Stanley Cup title in 2004.
