The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 36.86 points on Monday to close at 15,521.97. The Nasdaq Composite closed off 14.02 points, closing at 3,599.14. The S&P 500 slid 6.32 points to finish the session at 1,685.33.

Energy companies and banks led Monday’s declines.
