BMW Sticking It to Sports Car Lovers

Harold Cunningham/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Before you run out next year and purchase the BMW M4 Coupe, you’d better be aware that it’s not your father’s sports car.
German-based automakers BMW have opted not to include a stick in the 2014 model.
It seems that BMW’s engineers have decided that the M4 Coupe with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre engine will deliver better fuel efficiency and performance with a dual-clutch automatic transmission rather than a six-speed manual transmission.
Incidentally, the engine will produce a total output of 450 HP (335 kW) and 550 Nm of torque (405 lb-ft).
When the BMW M4 Coupe debuts in 2014, the list price is expected around $60,000.
