Broncos’ Derek Wolfe Suffers Neck Injury
Published at(SEATTLE) — Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe was carted off the field on Saturday night in the first quarter against the Seahawks.
Wolfe was brought to the ground on a cut block by Seattle tight end Luke Wilson and as he was starting to get back up, fullback Michael Robinson came in for another block and hit him in the head and neck.
Wolfe was taken to a Seattle hospital and later released and able to fly home with the team.
“So far the reports we’ve gotten are positive in the sense that there are no broken bones,” Head Coach John Fox said at halftime. “CT scan was positive and right now we’re waiting on an MRI so, so far all the news is good.”
Wolfe was selected by the Broncos in the second-round in 2012.
