(BOISE, ID) – A former high school math teacher is planning to challenge U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador of Idaho in the 2014 election. Democratic State Rep. Shirley Ringo of Moscow characterizes Labrador as an extremist who adheres to a hard right-wing platform espoused by some House GOP members. The 72-year-old former Latah County Democratic Party Chair acknowledges that she has an uphill battle in the largely conservative 1st Congressional District, but is confident that she’ll win bipartisan support.
