Driver Tries to Run Over Ex-Girlfriend and New Beau

(RIGBY, ID) – A Lewisville man was arrested in Rigby Monday night after trying to run over two people in the Broulim’s parking lot. Rigby Police say 19-year-old Justin Ribaudo tried several times to run over 23-year-old Janet Fortine and 31-year-old Wesley Pelton. Witnesses say Ribaudo hit a chain link fence before fleeing the scene. Investigators say Ribaudo and Fortine had recently broken up. He was later arrested after being stopped along the Annis Highway just before 8:30 p.m. He faces charges of aggravated assault, battery, malicious injury to property, and driving with an open container of alcohol.
