Emergency Landing at Pocatello Airport

(POCATELLO, ID) – A Boeing 737 had to make an emergency landing in Pocatello Tuesday morning after one of its engines failed. The United Airlines flight from Seattle to Houston touched down in Pocatello just before 3 a.m. leaving more than 150 passengers stranded in the small airport. Staff members spent most of the morning making folks comfortable with donuts, muffins, and coffee, until a replacement plane arrived eight hours later. Airport authorities say they were pleased with the way everyone adjusted to an otherwise stressful situation.
