Mark Martin was cruising towards a victory until he ran out of fuel with just three laps to go. Logano and Kevin Harvick took advantage by racing past the faltering Martin.

It was Logano’s first race of the season, and brought him to 13th place in the points standings, just seven points behind Martin Truex Jr. for the 12th and final spot.

“A rollercoaster to say the least,” Logano said after the win. “We’ve just got to keep that momentum going. It just goes to show, as long as nothing goes wrong –knock on wood– we’ve been pretty good. We’ve had some good speed in our cars.”

Along with Logano and Harvick, Kurt Busch, Paul Menard, and Clint Bowyer rounded out the top-5.

With just three races left in the regular season, the points standings are worth watching. Jimmie Johnson holds a 41-point lead over Bowyer, and a 51-point lead on Carl Edwards.
