David Millard in New Jersey has denied a request for an injunction to prevent 495 Productions from shooting a new season of MTV’s Snooki & JWoww in a house on Pelican Island in the Garden State, according to The Asbury Park Press.

Many residents of Pelican Island, a small Jersey Shore community just outside of Seaside Heights, are still recovering from damage from Superstorm Sandy.  They claim the filming of the MTV show will bring unwanted traffic and unwelcome visitors as they continue to rebuild from the storm.

However, a lawyer representing a neighbor of a home being used for the taping says the judge has not ruled on the lawyer’s argument that the production violates the town’s zoning ordinance.

Snooki posted on Instagram a screengrab of an article about a Property Owners Association meeting related to the matter, and wrote, “Unable how adults are trying to ban my son, fiancé and I from enjoying our summer at the shore. Grow up, get over yourself and move on. This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There’s much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood.”
