(POCATELLO, ID) – The Idaho Court of Appeals has upheld the sentence of a local sex offender who was appealing his sentence to the state’s Rider program. Troy Harris was charged with failing to register as a sex offender in Bannock County in February of 2009, and again in July of that year. After two additional violations in 2011 and 2012, Sixth District Judge David Nye revoked Harris’ probation and sent him into the retained jurisdiction program last December. In an unpublished decision announced Tuesday, the appellate court affirmed Nye’s original ruling.
