Man Arrested for Attempted Strangulation

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday morning for attempting to strangle a woman, among other charges.  Twenty-four-year-old Armondo Ely reportedly attacked the victim at a residence on the 3800-block of Greenwillow Lane. During the ensuing struggle, Ely also allegedly damaged much of the home’s interior. When officers arrived, Ely fled the scene but was tracked down a short time later while hiding in a yard nearby.
