While in Arizona, the president will tour Erickson Construction, a provider of turn-key framing solutions for major homebuilders, according to the White House.  He will then visit Desert Vista High School, “where he will lay out his plan to restore security to homeownership as another cornerstone of how we can strengthen the middle class,” the White House said in a statement.

That plan will include mortgage reforms to shift responsibility to banks and end the reliance on giant agencies like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which gambled with mortgage money and needed billions in government bailouts.

Later on Tuesday, Obama will head to California, where he will tape an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

This marks Obama’s sixth appearance on the show, and his fourth since taking office.  His most recent visit was on Oct. 24, 2012.
