Oprah’s Interview with Lindsay Lohan Fails to Draw Big Ratings

Sunday’s episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, featuring the 27-year-old actress, only earned 892,000 viewers in the 9 p.m. airing and 504,000 viewers at 10 p.m., according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In comparison, the Oprah’s Next Chapter episode featuring the family of Whitney Houston raked in 3.5 million viewers in March 2012, the Lance Armstrong sit-down early this year earned 3.2 million viewers, and a chat with  Rihanna earned 2.5 million viewers last August.

Cable TV did air the most-watched program for the week that ended Sunday. A&E’s Duck Dynasty drew 11.77 million viewers, the biggest audience ever for a non-fiction cable series.

CBS won the network ratings race for the week, followed by ABC.

Here are the top 10 primetime programs for the week of August 12-18, according to the Nielsen Company:

3. America’s Got Talent (Wednesday, 9 p.m.), NBC, 9.51 million

5. CMA Music Festival, ABC, 8.30 million
6. NCIS, CBS, 8.09 million
7. 60 Minutes, CBS, 7.43 million
8. The Big Bang Theory, CBS, 6.71 million
9. Unforgettable, CBS, 6.57 million
10. Big Brother (Sunday), CBS, 6.48 million
