Packers’ Bulaga Tears ACL, Out for Season
Published at(GREEN BAY, Wis.) — The Green Bay Packers have lost starting left tackle Bryan Bulaga for the season with a torn ACL.
Bulaga was injured during Saturday’s team scrimmage, although because he played the entire game, it’s not clear when the injury occurred.
Bulaga played right tackle his first three seasons in the NFL, but Packers head coach Mike McCarthy decided to switch him to the left side to try and improve an offensive line that let up the second most sacks in the league last season.
With Bulaga out, the Packers are expected to either move Marshall Newhouse, who started 28 games the last two seasons at left tackle, back to the left side. Or they could try rookie David Bakhtiari at the position.
