Pocatello Man Linked to Afton Robbery

(AFTON, WY) – A Pocatello man has been arrested in connection to a bank robbery in Afton, Wyoming.  Detectives say 56-year-old Donald Sample walked into the First National Bank Monday afternoon, and handed the teller a note saying that he was a robber. Sample, who also goes by the alias Donald Sheriff, did not display a weapon and made it out of the building with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was arrested along U.S. Highway 89 south of Afton about 20 minutes later. He remains held in the Lincoln County Jail.
