(PITTSBURGH) — Pittsburgh’s Russell Martin drilled a single down the left-field line, scoring Josh Harrison as the Pirates outlasted the Miami Marlins in 10 innings on Thursday, 5-4.
The victory extends the Pirates winning streak to five and improves their record to 70-44, tops in the majors.
The Marlins took a 4-0 lead in the fifth on rookie Christian Yelich’s first career home run, a two-run shot. But the Pirates battled back and tied it in the seventh, when Starling Marte scored on a sac fly from Gaby Sanchez.
