The Samsung Mega, originally announced for European and Russian markets back in April, is heading to the United States, complete with a 6.3-inch screen.

The Samsung Mega will run on the 4.2.2 version of Android’s operating system, Jelly Bean. It will include several features that appear in the Galaxy S4, including motion gestures for navigation and using the device as your TV’s remote control.

AT&T announced that the phone will be available Aug. 23 for $149.99 with two-year contract.

Sprint has not yet set a release date or price, but has promised that Mega users will still have unlimited data.

Samsung’s press release did not mention whether Verizon or T-Mobile will be getting the latest phone.

LG’s G2 smartphone reveal a couple of weeks ago emphasized that its screen was large, but not large enough to be uncomfortably held in one hand.

With a screen that’s larger than some varieties of Subway sandwiches, the Mega will be able to test how far customers’ hands will reach in order to make a phone call.
