(SODA SPRINGS, ID) – A scam targeting the elderly has showed up again in eastern Idaho. Soda Springs Police say the scammers refer to you personally and can usually list off the names of your family members. In many cases, the caller claims to have been arrested in a foreign country, and requests a wire transfer for bail money, often in excess of $1,000. Anyone who receives a similar call should contact the police immediately and to try and confirm the story with a relative.
