(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A man accused of murdering an Idaho Falls woman in 1997 is suing the state for post-conviction relief. Christopher Tapp claims he was pressured by Idaho Falls Police to confess that he murdered Angie Dodge. Tapp’s attorney alleges that police reports used in convicting his client weren’t adequate. Magistrate Judge Joel Tingey has allowed Tapp’s defender to file a motion requesting depositions from detectives involved in Tapp’s conviction, including Idaho Falls mayor Jared Fuhriman, who helped interview Tapp during the original investigation.
