Johnnie Fletcher Gooden Jr., 29, said on Saturday that the first lady adopted him via Facebook the day prior.  He then requested access to Obama’s bank account.  Chase employees told Gooden there was no such account, but he refused to leave and police were called to the scene.

Officer Brandon Suehs arrived at Chase Bank, and Gooden told him the same story.

“When I challenged his response and told him that I believed he was telling a lie, he stopped talking to me,” Suehs wrote in a police report.

Bryan Police dispatchers then ran Gooden’s information for a warrant check and found he was already wanted for two charges, “one for assault on a public servant and one for resisting arrest, search or transport,” said Kelley McKethan, Bryan Police’s public information officer.

That was enough for Suehs to arrest Gooden.  But before getting into the patrol car, Gooden confessed he had 6.1 grams of marijuana in his left pocket, police said, allowing them to slam the 29-year-old with a marijuana charge, as well.

He was being held at Brazos County Detention Center on $52,000 bail, but faces no charges for his claims concerning the Obama family.

“What he did there wasn’t illegal,” said McKethan, “just bizarre.”
