Tebow came over from the Jets in the offseason.  The No. 2 quarterback Ryan Mallett suffered a head injury during the second quarter, which gave Tebow his shot.

“I think I’ve got room for improvement,” Tebow said. “I did some things well, there are some other things I’d like to do better, and I think that’s what these games are for. I definitely want to learn from it and improve and next week do a little bit better.”

The Patriots have only taken two quarterbacks on their roster the past three out of four seasons.

“It felt good, just playing the game that we all love, it’s a lot of fun.  It felt really good,” Tebow continued.  “It’s fun, and I’m definitely comfortable [with the read option],” Tebow said. “It’s something I’ve done a lot. With that there’s a lot of moving parts and you have to get those down, and that’s something that we’re still working on.”
