Reid, who coached the previous 14 seasons in Philly, received a standing ovation from the crowd before kickoff.

“I appreciate the fans and the support they gave me,” Reid said. “That was kind of them.”

As for the game, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was intercepted on his third pass of the game, the first of his three turnovers, and was sacked six times, 4 1/2 times by linebacker Justin Houston, in the loss.

Kansas City (3-0) scored on that first interception when safety Eric Berry returned the pick 38 yards for the score.

Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith completed 22 of 35 passes for 273 yards in the win. Seven of those completions went to receiver Donnie Avery, who managed to gain 141 yards on those receptions.

LeSean McCoy continued to have early season success rushing for 158 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Philadelphia (1-2) has now lost two straight.
