Daredevil Groups Hope to Jump Snake River Canyon

(TWIN FALLS, ID) – Five daredevil groups are vying for the chance to retry a stunt that stumped Evil Knievel almost 40 years ago. Only one of the groups will be granted the two-year, $50,000 lease from the Idaho Department of Lands, which will give them access to the original mound that Knievel used to try and jump the Snake River Canyon on a motorcycle. Though he ultimately failed, the groups say they’ve got the resources necessary to make the jump successfully. The winning bid will be announced next Friday.
