While Rodman’s statements are usually outrageous, there are few who doubt the one-time Chicago Bull and Los Angeles Laker actually feels close to the reclusive dictator.

Rodman left North Korea last Saturday, wrapping up his second trip to the communist country this year.  Unlike his last assignment to help film an HBO documentary, this was more of a pleasure trip to hang out with Kim.

During his visit, Rodman said he and Kim discussed “sports” and “peace.”

However, the 52-year-old Rodman said he and Kim did not talk about the fate of American Kenneth Bae, who is serving hard time for unspecified charges.

Rodman claimed it wasn’t “his job” to help negotiate Bae’s release.

Meanwhile, Rodman let slip, perhaps with the permission of his bosom buddy, that Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, have a daughter.

Rodman told The Guardian, “I held their baby Ju Ae and spoke with Ms. Ri as well.”

It also seems that Rodman isn’t done talking about his North Korean adventure.  He promised a “HUGE announcement” Monday in New York City.
