The fire has been burning for the last two weeks, and is the fourth largest wildfire in California history. While the fire continues to grow in size, fire crews are slowly but surely containing the flames. The 40 percent containment figure is up from 35 percent on Saturday.

The fire has burned 348 square miles and according to ABC’s Los Angeles affiliate KABC-TV, threatens 4,500 residences. Eleven homes have been destroyed.

Fire crews continue working to stop the spread of the fire, with 5,000 fire personnel on the scene.
