Johnson & Johnson Recalls Motrin Infants’ Drops

U.S. Food and Drug Administration/Johnson & Johnson(NEW YORK) — Johnson and Johnson is recalling 200,000 bottles of Motrin Infants’ Drops after plastic particles were found in another product made from the same shipment of an ingredient.
According to the pharmaceutical company, the bottles may contain small plastic particles. While the company is not certain that the recalled bottles contained plastic specks, the plastic was found in another product, causing the voluntary recall.
The product in which the plastic specks were found was never released to the public. The particles reportedly were traced to a shipment of ibuprofen from a third-party supplier. The three lots of Motrin’s berry-flavored Infants’ Drops were recalled because they were made with the same batch of ibuprofen.
Retailers have been asked to remove any recalled products from their shelves and consumers are urged to stop using any such product and dispose of the drops immediately.
