Library Wants New Building
Published at | Updated at(SHELLEY, ID) – The North Bingham County Library is asking people to support a bond to construct a new library. Director Heidi Riddoch says the current building in Shelley is outdated and doesn’t have enough space to meet the needs of a growing community. However, because the building would be funded by taxpayers, some argue that the current library is fine as it is. This is the third time the library district has asked voters to get behind a new building, with the last ballot initiative falling just a few votes short of the 67 percent majority needed.
