Major Drug Bust in Boise County

(BOISE, ID) – State and federal law enforcement agencies have arrested five people in connection to a massive marijuana-growing operation in Boise County. Authorities seized and destroyed more than 40,000 marijuana plants, with the entire operation valued in excess of $100 million. Four of the suspects are Mexican nationals, and may be connected to a much larger drug cartel. They also face several illegal firearms charges. Preliminary hearings have been set for Sept. 27.
