Miley Cyrus Breaks Down on Stage During iHeartRadio Performance

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic(LAS VEGAS) — Miley Cyrus broke into tears Saturday night when she performed her new hit song “Wrecking Ball” live for the first time at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas.
Video shows Cyrus crying during the performance then hugging her mother Tish Cyrus off stage.
The song, with lyrics allegedly about former boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, is her first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
The two recently broke off their engagement, their reps confirmed to ABC News last week.
Cyrus, 20, and Hemsworth, 23, first met in 2009 on the Tybee Island, Georgia set of their movie The Last Song.
The couple announced their engagement in 2012.
By the spring of 2013, rumors began circulating that the relationship was on the rocks. In June, however, the singer shot down the rumors, showing off her engagement ring on Good Morning America. In the ABC News Celeb Quiz, Cyrus said she hoped to go to the moon with “my honey.”
