New Comedies from Robin Williams, Michael J. Fox Premiere Thursday

NUP 156800 0888JPG?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1380187124199Eric Liebowitz/NBC(NEW YORK) — Robin Williams and Michael J. Fox make their long-awaited returns to television Thursday night with new comedies on CBS and NBC, respectively.

Here’s a closer look at their shows and the rest of the new programming on the schedule.  All times Eastern:

CBS

  • The Big Bang Theory, 8 p.m.: The hit comedy is back with two new episodes to start its seventh season.  In the first episode, Sheldon and Penny share secrets while Leonard is away at sea.
  • The Crazy Ones, 9 p.m.: In the new comedy, Robin Williams is the head of an ad agency whose partner is his daughter, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar.  Kelly Clarkson guest stars in the series premiere. 
  • Two and a Half Men, 9:30 p.m.: Amber Tamblyn is introduced in the 11th-season premiere as Charlie’s illegitimate daughter, Jenny.  Charlie would be Charlie Sheen’s deceased character.
  • Elementary, 10 p.m.: The Sherlock Holmes drama launches its second season with the detective and Watson going to London to investigate an unsolved mystery.

NBC

  • Parks & Recreation, 8 p.m.: Amy Poehler’s Leslie heads to London with her colleagues to accept an award from an international Women in Government organization.  The sixth-season premiere is a one-hour episode.
  • The Michael J. Fox Show, 9 p.m.: The comedy mirrors real life to a certain extent for Michael J. Fox, whose character is also battling Parkinson’s disease.  He plays a newsman who goes back to work after a five-year hiatus.  The Michael J. Fox Show debuts with back-to-back episodes.
  • Parenthood, 10 p.m.: The newborn baby of Joy Bryant’s Jasmine and Dax Shepard’s Crosby draws plenty of attention in the family home as season five gets underway.

ABC

  • Grey’s Anatomy, 9 p.m.: Season 10 begins with a two-hour episode in which a mudslide injures first responders and others in Seattle.

Fox

  • Glee, 9 p.m.: In the fifth-season premiere, the members of New Directions cover songs by The Beatles.  Coming soon: a tribute to late cast member Cory Monteith.
