New TV Comedies “Dads,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” Premiere Tuesday

The Family Guy creator is one of the executive producers of Dads, which airs at 8 p.m. Eastern time. Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi star as two longtime friends who allow their fathers to move in to their homes, causing all sorts of drama. Martin Mull and Peter Riegert play the dads.

At 8:30 p.m. Eastern time on Fox, Andy Samberg begins his post-Saturday Night Live career with the debut of his new comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He plays a Brooklyn detective whose precinct is filled with an eclectic mix of characters, including a tough commanding officer played by Andre Braugher.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is followed by the third-season premiere of the Zooey Deschanel comedy New Girl.  At 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, Mindy Kaling’s The Mindy Project opens its second season with guest star James Franco playing an OB/GYN who’s taken over the titular character’s office.
