Rexburg Man Convicted of Drug Trafficking

(REXBURG, ID) – A Rexburg man faces up to 40 years in prison on felony charges of trafficking methamphetamine.  Noe Munguia-Diaz was convicted of six counts of distributing meth, one count of possession with intent to distribute, and two counts of unlawfully possessing firearms in federal court on Tuesday. Prosecutors say Munguia-Diaz allegedly sold a handgun during one of the drug sales, and was found in possession of a loaded gun when he was arrested last year. He also faces up to $5 million in fines. Sentencing has been scheduled for December.
